Position Overview

The American Iron & Metal Company is seeking a dedicated Material Weighing Specialist. This role involves overseeing the intake and dispatch of materials through the management of truck and trailer operations. The specialist will be tasked with accurately weighing materials, generating weighing tickets, and providing exceptional service to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and assist customers;
  • Accurately weigh incoming and outgoing materials;
  • Document deliveries using designated software;
  • Handle phone inquiries and direct them appropriately;
  • Prepare necessary shipping documentation;
  • Monitor and track material shipments;
  • Compile and submit reports as required.
Qualifications
  • Background in customer service;
  • Experience in the logistics or transportation sector is a plus;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Desired Skills
  • Attention to detail;
  • Strong communication abilities;
  • Exceptional customer service skills;
  • Familiarity with software and computer systems;
  • Competence in mental calculations.
Additional Information
  • Work schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, with hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Tuesday to Friday) and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. (Saturday).
  • Overtime compensation at time and a half after 40 hours;
  • Full-time, permanent position with guaranteed job security.
