About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring ECE Assistant to join our team at Tiny Hoppers Early Learning Centre. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our centre and providing exceptional care to our young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Care and Education
    • Provide high-quality care and education to infants and toddlers, ensuring their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
    • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote learning and development.
  • Assisting Educators
    • Support early childhood educators in carrying out daily tasks, such as preparing materials and equipment.
    • Assist with record-keeping and submitting written observations on children.
  • Leadership and Teamwork
    • Lead activities and engage children in play-based learning, promoting creativity and social skills.
    • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers.
  • Centre Operations
    • Assist with daily centre operations, including ordering supplies and equipment.
    • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Skills and Qualities
    • Punctuality and dependability.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Flexibility and ability to multitask.
    • Reliability and team player.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment
    • 35 hours per week.
    • English language required.
