Role Summary:
The Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is in search of a qualified physician to join our esteemed team. This role is designed for individuals who possess a strong foundation in Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) and are eager to contribute to our mission of providing exceptional care for high-risk pregnancies.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have completed accredited subspecialty training in Maternal Fetal Medicine and will be eligible for:

  • Sub-specialty Maternal Fetal Medicine Certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
  • Licensure to practice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC)

Key Responsibilities:
As a vital member of our medical team, you will:
  • Deliver specialized clinical care for high-risk pregnancies, utilizing current research and best practice standards.
  • Engage in outreach, inpatient, and outpatient care activities.
  • Participate in academic endeavors, including research, teaching, and administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate effectively with all clinical team members, demonstrating professionalism and teamwork.

Clinical Duties:
Your clinical responsibilities will encompass:
  • Pre-pregnancy, antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum care for MFM patients.
  • Collaboration with tertiary referral centers for complex surgical or maternal medical conditions.

Evaluation Criteria:
Applicants will be assessed based on their overall experience and skills, with particular emphasis on:
  • Additional training or experience in Maternal/Obstetrical Medicine related to high-risk pregnancy.
  • Interest and experience in research activities, including knowledge generation and implementation.
  • Leadership and administrative experience.

Compensation:
The position will be structured as a salary/service contract, with compensation reflective of qualifications and experience in alignment with established ranges.
