Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician, Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist to join our team at the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA). As a key member of our medical team, you will provide subspecialty clinical care in the area of high-risk pregnancy, applying current research evidence and best practice standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide subspecialty clinical care in high-risk pregnancy, including pre-pregnancy, antepartum, labor and delivery, and post-partum care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex medical and surgical conditions.
  • Participate in research activities, including knowledge generation, translation, and implementation, to advance the field of maternal-fetal medicine.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and policies to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Provide education and training to healthcare professionals, students, and patients on maternal-fetal medicine topics.

Requirements

  • Accredited subspecialty training in Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM).
  • Eligibility for subspecialty Maternal Fetal Medicine Certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
  • Licensure to practice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong research and academic background, with a demonstrated ability to contribute to the advancement of maternal-fetal medicine.
