Position Overview

We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team at Golumbia Printing. This role involves a blend of creativity and technical skills to produce compelling visual content.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of post-secondary education in Graphic Design or a related field.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work primarily in our head office, collaborating with a team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and mentor junior graphic designers and graphic arts technicians.
  • Assess project timelines for graphic design and illustration tasks.
  • Engage with clients to understand their visual communication needs and preferences.
  • Create and finalize detailed sketches and illustrations that align with client objectives.
  • Collaborate in a multidisciplinary setting to enhance project outcomes.
  • Manage all production aspects for various media, including print and digital formats.
  • Coordinate with external contractors as necessary.
  • Consult with clients to define the visual style and content of communication materials.
  • Select the most effective medium to achieve the desired visual impact.
  • Design graphic elements that fulfill client specifications.
  • Set standards for illustrators and photographers involved in projects.
  • Prepare initial sketches, layouts, and graphic components.
  • Utilize existing photo libraries and typography resources.
Experience Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Between 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience.
  • A commitment to a permanent position.
  • Proficiency in English as the working language.
  • A full-time work schedule of 40 hours per week.
