Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Shop Floor: Oversee daily plant operations, manage production schedules, and ensure smooth workflow in a metal fabrication setting.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate a multicultural production team to meet targets and ensure high-quality output.
  • Hands-On Management: Assign tasks, resolve issues on the floor, and ensure proper use of equipment such as laser cutters, roll formers, benders, and welders.
  • Maintain Standards: Ensure all processes and products meet quality standards. Implement safety protocols and maintain a clean, compliant work environment.
  • Optimize Operations: Use practical problem-solving skills to improve production efficiency and reduce costs. Familiarity with systems like 5S and 5 Whys is a plus.

Requirements
  • Industry Experience: 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication/manufacturing, with a strong understanding of sheet metal processes and machinery.
  • Proven Leadership: At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, with a track record of managing diverse teams.
  • Hands-On Knowledge: Practical expertise in welding techniques, fabrication tools, and reading technical drawings.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly assess production issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Leadership Style: Confident, assertive, with strong self-discipline and a sense of urgency. Able to lead by example and hold your team accountable.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and basic project management.
