About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Housekeeping Manager at Coast Nisku Inn & Conference Centre. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel and conference facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping supervisors and crews to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance of hotel rooms and public areas.
    • Provide guidance and support to housekeeping staff to ensure they meet the highest standards of cleanliness and customer service.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
    • Identify and address any issues or concerns related to cleanliness and maintenance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and uniforms to ensure that they are adequate and well-maintained.
    • Monitor and control the usage of cleaning supplies and equipment to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with housekeeping staff, other departments, and management to ensure that all needs are met and that the hotel runs smoothly.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all aspects of hotel operations are coordinated and efficient.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and customer service

    • Fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and priorities
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25 kg/55 lbs)
    • Ability to stand for long periods and walk frequently
