Bilingual Project Development Budget Officer

We are seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Bilingual Project Development Budget Officer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial planning and management of project initiatives, ensuring effective administration of financial resources, and conducting various financial assessments. Reporting directly to the Project Finance Manager, this position requires collaboration with the Program Development Team and the Director of Finance to facilitate seamless budget management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the formulation of annual budgets across all operational cost centers and regions.
  • Contributing to the development of financial plans for new project proposals and providing guidance to team members.
  • Conducting financial evaluations and generating reports for donors.
  • Ensuring adherence to internal financial controls and regulatory standards.
  • Providing support during audits and financial reconciliations as necessary.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in cost and project accounting.
  • Familiarity with international development funding sources and donor compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in both English and French.
  • Experience in non-profit or international development sectors is preferred.
