About McIntosh Perry: Renowned for our excellence in Contract Administration (CA), McIntosh Perry has been delivering CA and Construction Inspection (CI) services to various municipalities and private sector clients for many years. Our CA division comprises a diverse team of project managers, contract administrators, and inspection personnel, all dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in construction oversight.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of construction projects to verify compliance with contract specifications and safety regulations.
- Interpret and apply contract drawings and specifications accurately.
- Identify and address any contractual or regulatory violations promptly.
- Document quantities, prepare detailed progress reports, and maintain comprehensive records.
- Engage with contractors and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in structural inspection, particularly in road and bridge projects.
- Proven track record as a Construction Inspector - Structures on at least two significant projects.
- Registered as an EIT or P. Eng. with the PEO or OACETT designation, or the ability to obtain this designation within six months.
- Strong communication, analytical, and detail-oriented skills.
- A proactive approach to learning and professional development.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
- Flexibility to travel to various project sites as required.
