We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality imaging procedures while providing exceptional patient care and maintaining radiation safety practices.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment, skill, and ingenuity to produce quality images.
- Review and document patient medical history as it relates to performing exams.
- Assess the diagnostic quality of individual studies and determine any necessary corrective measures.
- Perform quality control practices to comply with equipment maintenance and regulations.
- Report any problems with equipment to the Senior Technologist or manager.
- Perform clerical duties as required.
- Graduate of a recognized school of Radiography.
- Active member in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario.
- Acceptable personal qualities, including conscientiousness, efficiency, reliability, responsibility, and flexibility.
- Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) in the English language.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent attendance and performance record.
- Relocation support may be available for this opportunity.
