About the Role

As a Delivery Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital facilities by transporting essential supplies and materials both within and outside the hospital. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks, from loading and unloading cargo to delivering specialized items such as perishables or valuable goods.

Your Responsibilities

  • Transport various supplies and materials using a variety of vehicles, including trucks, vans, and tow motors. This involves loading items manually or with pallet jacks, delivering them to specific units or departments, and handling special deliveries requiring extra care.
  • Deliver sensitive items like perishables or valuable goods by picking them up from designated areas, signing delivery receipts, transporting them securely to the intended department or unit, obtaining confirmation of receipt, and returning signed documents for accurate record-keeping.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on assigned vehicles. This includes tasks such as refueling, cleaning the cab and cargo area, checking belts, lights, tires, and oil levels, maintaining fluid levels, recommending necessary repairs, and scheduling service appointments to ensure safe and efficient vehicle operation.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with colleagues and recipients of deliveries.
  • Exhibit attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive items and maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
