Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Sushi Chef to join our vibrant team at 168 Sushi Asian Buffet & Bar. The ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary background and a passion for Japanese cuisine.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years in a similar role
Work Environment

This position is set in a fast-paced restaurant atmosphere, requiring physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
  • Introduce innovative cooking techniques and equipment to the kitchen staff
  • Oversee the activities of chefs, cooks, and kitchen personnel
  • Develop and create new recipes
  • Guide cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of dishes
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty items for events
  • Supervise kitchen staff and ensure quality food preparation
  • Plan menus that adhere to quality standards
  • Address dietary restrictions and prepare dishes accordingly
  • Train kitchen staff in food preparation and safety
Supervisory Role

Responsible for supervising a team of 5-10 kitchen staff members.
