Seeking a Medical Oncologist to Join Our Team

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncologist to join our team at BC Cancer. As a Medical Oncologist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive cancer care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.

About the Role:

This is a regular, full-time position (1.0 FTE) at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, BC. The successful candidate will be part of a well-established team providing general outpatient medical oncology services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive cancer care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Participate in research and education initiatives to improve cancer care
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of cancer care policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Eligibility for licensure as a specialist in British Columbia
  • Canadian certification (FRCP, FRCS or CCFP) at the time of appointment
  • Suitability for appointment to the University of British Columbia
