About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit individual to join our team at Nest Landscaping Ltd. as a Landscape Laborer. As a key member of our outdoor team, you will be responsible for assisting with various landscape construction tasks, ensuring our clients' properties are well-maintained and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Landscape Constructions: Work alongside our experienced team to build and maintain beautiful outdoor spaces, including gardens, lawns, and hardscapes.
  • Tie and Secure Plants: Ensure plants and trees are properly secured to prevent damage or loss.
  • Weed, Prune, and Trim Trees and Plants: Maintain the health and appearance of our clients' outdoor spaces by removing weeds, pruning trees and shrubs, and trimming plants.
  • Cut Grass: Maintain lawns to the highest standard, ensuring they are well-manicured and visually appealing.
  • Rake and Collect Refuse: Keep our work sites clean and tidy by raking and collecting refuse and debris.
  • Remove Litter and Garbage: Ensure our clients' properties are free from litter and garbage.
  • Cart and Spread Topsoil and Other Materials: Assist with the transportation and application of topsoil and other materials to our clients' properties.
  • Lay Sod or Seed: Help to establish new lawns by laying sod or seeding.
  • Plant Bulbs, Flowers, Shrubs, and Trees: Assist with the planting of new flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance our clients' outdoor spaces.
  • Apply Fertilizers: Maintain the health of our clients' plants and trees by applying fertilizers as needed.
  • Water and Tend to Plants, Lawns, and/or Gardens: Ensure our clients' outdoor spaces are well-watered and maintained.
  • Operate Fan Snow Gun: Assist with snow removal and ice control during the winter months.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Site Environment: Our work sites are typically outdoors, with exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and precipitation.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires a high level of physical fitness, with frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: We are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Work Hours: 30-40 hours per week.
