Taxi Dispatcher Job Description

At 94 Cabs - Lacombe, we are seeking a skilled Taxi Dispatcher to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our taxi services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise taxi operators of traffic and other problems to ensure timely and safe transportation of passengers.
  • Assist with maintenance of communications equipment to ensure seamless communication between dispatchers and taxi operators.
  • Dispatch taxi personnel according to schedules and work orders to meet customer demand.
  • Maintain accurate records of taxi operator work hours, mileage, and other expenses.
  • Operate radio equipment to communicate with taxi operators and dispatchers.
  • Process and transmit information and instructions to coordinate the activities of taxi operators and crews.
  • Schedule assignments and coordinate activities of taxi operators, crews, and equipment to ensure efficient use of resources.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Will train.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
