About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Governance Specialist to join our team at Co-operators, a leading Canadian financial services co-operative. As a key member of our Information Management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of our data assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data management solutions that meet business needs.
  • Provide data quality and compliance expertise to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Lead data stewardship initiatives to ensure data ownership, accountability, and responsibility.
  • Develop and maintain data governance metrics and reporting to measure data quality and compliance.
Requirements
  • English language proficiency is required, with French being an asset.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience with data management solutions, data quality tools, and data governance frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid work environment.
