About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Southbridge Kemptville, a newly built long term care home in the heart of Kemptville. As a RPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide resident care in accordance with established nursing standards, principles, and administrative policies.
- Assess residents' health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate care plans, and monitor residents' health status.
- Organize and direct functions and activities related to the provision of care to residents, including restorative care and palliative care as required.
- Supervise and evaluate the work of nursing and personal care staff assigned to the unit, orient and train new personnel, and participate in in-service education.
- Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and healthcare practices, as well as knowledge in Infection Control Practices.
- Effective human relation skills and demonstrated commitment to working with seniors.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
