Your Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team in the Pediatric department at the Northern Lights Health Centre in Fort McMurray. About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of nursing services to patients, families, and communities. You will utilize nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making to ensure the safety and well-being of patients. You will also teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families, playing a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance.

Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
  • Current Pediatric IV therapy/experience
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Current Pediatric Emergency Recognition Stabilization (PEARS)
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)
What We Offer:

Alberta Health Services offers a competitive rate of pay, as well as a Fort McMurray Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $12,480. The allowance is non-pensionable and payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
