Mechanical Engineering Professor

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified Mechanical Engineering Professor to join our faculty at the University of Ottawa. The successful candidate will have a strong background in material science and manufacturing, with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and a specialization in materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach courses in mechanical engineering and materials science
- Develop and implement curriculum in mechanical engineering and materials science
- Conduct research in mechanical engineering and materials science
- Supervise graduate students in mechanical engineering and materials science
Requirements
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in materials
- Strong background in material science and manufacturing
- Licensed or eligible for licensing as a professional engineer in one of the provinces of Canada
Working Conditions
Courses will be taught in person. Please note that the teaching or work method may change due to health measures or other reasons. Acquisition of skills for effective online teaching is strongly encouraged.
Additional Information
An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
