Job Title: Building Automation System Operating Technologist
The Building Automation System Operating Technologist is responsible for operating, troubleshooting, and optimizing Building Automation Systems in client facilities. This role involves project support, ongoing operations, client relations, and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Project Support
- Collaborate with building operators to identify operational and energy-saving opportunities in BAS operations.
- Implement approved system changes and coordinate with contractors and vendors for programming.
- Provide recommendations for system enhancements and participate in commissioning inspections.
Ongoing Operations
- Respond to service requests, optimize facility uptime, and monitor system performance.
- Coordinate maintenance repairs, address failures, and ensure remote platforms are up-to-date.
Client Relations
- Provide feedback on equipment conditions and suggestions for improvement.
- Enhance tenant satisfaction and maintain positive client relationships.
Administration
- Record resolution data, track maintenance work, and assist with facility projects.
- Ensure compliance with operational processes and health & safety standards.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- College Diploma in a related field and relevant experience in BAS operations.
Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in BAS navigation, troubleshooting, data analysis, and optimization strategies.
- Strong communication skills, client-service orientation, and ability to mentor junior team members.
Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation
- None required.
