About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit individual to join our team at Fairfield Tree Nurseries Inc. as a Nursery Labourer Assistant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the cultivation and maintenance of trees, shrubs, and plants in our nursery.
  • Perform tasks such as cleaning, pruning, and weeding to ensure the health and quality of our products.
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently to support the nursery's operations.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve production targets and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Participate in the preparation and application of fertilizers, pesticides, and other chemicals as required.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of our nursery's facilities, including equipment, tools, and vehicles.
Work Environment

As a Nursery Labourer Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced outdoor environment with varying weather conditions. You will be required to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in horticulture or a related field an asset.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
