About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with mental illness to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives. You will provide direct support, facilitate group activities, and connect clients with essential resources.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of trauma-informed care principles.
- Possess knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation practices.
- Be familiar with program policies and procedures.
- Have proficiency in relevant software applications.
- Exhibit compassion and empathy when working with clients facing mental health challenges.
- Understand the complexities of meeting basic needs, such as food, clothing, and shelter.
- Work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Maintain physical stamina to perform the duties of the position.
- Be attentive to changes in clients' well-being and report them promptly.
- Facilitate engaging group sessions that promote healing and growth.
