Position Overview

FATEH MERCHANDISING INC. is seeking a dedicated Retail Cashier to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic setting that includes:

  • Gas bar
  • Retail business
Key Responsibilities

As a Retail Cashier, your primary duties will include:

  • Operating the cash register efficiently.
  • Processing various forms of payment including cash, cheques, and credit/debit cards.
  • Scanning items accurately and efficiently.
  • Receiving payments for goods and services.
  • Calculating daily or shift payments received and reconciling with total sales.
  • Restocking shelves and maintaining cleanliness in the counter area.
  • Greeting customers warmly and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Wrapping or placing merchandise in bags for customers.
  • Participating in promotional activities as needed.
Supervision

This role involves supervising other cashiers and ensuring smooth operations at the checkout.

Technical Skills

Familiarity with electronic cash registers is essential for this position.

Transportation

Having your own transportation is necessary for commuting to work.

Physical Requirements

The job requires:

  • Attention to detail.
  • A combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift.
