Your Role: We are seeking enthusiastic embedded software engineers who are passionate about combating climate change and innovating within the residential HVAC sector. As an early member of our engineering team, you will have a significant influence on the development of Jetson's in-home product suite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of critical components of the embedded software (firmware) for our heat pump systems, utilizing both custom and pre-existing modules.
  • Oversee the entire software lifecycle: design, build, test, deploy, operate, and maintain.
  • Continuously seek efficiencies: stay informed about emerging AI tools, integrate existing solutions where feasible, and build from scratch only when it adds value.
  • Adhere to engineering best practices: prioritize simplicity, maintain thorough documentation, and employ automation to minimize errors.
  • Collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to co-design hardware and software for an optimal product experience.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to address urgent issues.
  • Contribute to other software components (web frontend/backend, mobile) and/or hardware design as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.
  • A strong commitment to creating software that is both user-friendly and technically robust, balancing speed with quality.
  • Expertise in modern embedded software development, particularly with ARM Cortex-M and C++.
