Job Title: Patient Transfer Attendant - Owen Sound

Voyago is seeking a skilled Patient Transfer Attendant to join our team in Owen Sound. As a Patient Transfer Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of patients to and from healthcare facilities, nursing homes, and private residences.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Transport patients via stretcher or wheelchair to and from healthcare facilities, nursing homes, and private residences.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Valid First Responder Certification, Advanced Emergency Medical Care Assistant Certification, or Paramedic Diploma (Year 1) OR Fire Fighter with Emergency Medical Responder Certification.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid (Level C) certification.
  • Valid G-class driving license.
  • Ability to lift 250+ lbs. using a stretcher or stair chair with a partner.
  • Effective communication skills in both verbal and written English.
  • Safe driving record and ability to obtain a clean criminal record search and/or vulnerable sector screening.
  • Up-to-date immunization records, including MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19 (2 doses), and TB Skin Test (Step 1) within the last 12 months.
  • Availability for 12-hour shifts and night and weekend shifts.
