Vehicle Operations Trainer

Job Summary:

Voyago is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Driver Trainer to join our team in Durham. As a Driver Trainer, you will be responsible for training and teaching employees how to drive all Company-owned vehicles in a safe and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for drivers to ensure they meet the company's safety and operational standards.
  • Conduct regular driving assessments to evaluate driver performance and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to develop and implement training plans that meet the company's needs.
  • Provide on-the-job training and coaching to drivers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in driver training and safety.

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid G or B class driver's license.
  • Have a clean driving record and a Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
  • Have excellent customer service experience and superior organization and communication skills.
  • Be available to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends.
  • Have an understanding of the vehicle for hire industry and knowledge of wheelchair tie-downs and Q-straint.
  • Have previous instructional or teaching experience and previous driver assessment experience.
  • Be willing to attend and complete the Professional Instructor in Driver Education (PRIDE) program or equivalent.
  • Be comfortable traveling to various Voyago locations across Southwestern Ontario.
