Lush North America is seeking an experienced Senior In-House Legal Counsel to provide expert legal and strategic guidance to our business leaders across North America. As a key advisor, you will analyze and summarize complex legal documents, anticipate and mitigate potential legal problems, and develop strategies to reduce costly litigation and risks. You will collaborate closely with all business areas, including Finance, HR, Buying, and Brand teams, to provide day-to-day legal advice and contribute to the strategic direction of the company. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, North America, you will lead the North America region legal function, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and objectives. Your responsibilities will include building and managing panel firm relationships, driving the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures, and ensuring timely support for contract drafting and reviews. You will also counsel business leaders on corporate legal matters, facilitate advice on tax matters, government regulations, and legal rights, and partner with the HR Compliance Manager on sensitive employment issues. The ideal candidate will have at least 7+ years of post-JD experience in commercial law and corporate law at a senior level, strong written and verbal skills, and extensive knowledge of corporate and commercial law.
