Job Summary

The Respiratory Therapy department at Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialized care to critically ill patients in various units, including ICU E/S, CCU, and the Regional Burn Unit.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients in ICU E/S, CCU, and other specialized units
  • Collaborate with physicians and RNs to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Operate the Hyperbaric Unit and provide hyperbaric care to patients
  • Participate in Code Blue team and RACE team
  • Contribute to a culture of patient and staff safety
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy
  • Current General Registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO)
  • Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care (CBRC) exam
  • Valid BCLS and ACLS certifications
  • Recent experience in adult critical care setting
  • Recent RACE experience preferred
  • Recent hyperbaric experience and/or training preferred
