We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the implementation of the Health Career Access Program (HCAP) within the Mental Health & Substance Use Services (MH&SUS) sites of Fraser Health.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate the HCAP implementation within MH&SUS sites, ensuring program objectives are met.
- Provide expert advice related to the program's mandate and the integration of Mental Health & Addictions Support Workers into site operations.
- Assist site operations to identify and raise progress/performance issues as Mental Health & Addictions Support Workers proceed through orientation, training, and work experience.
- Coordinate activities related to Mental Health & Addictions Support Worker onboarding at the site level.
- Manage a system to track individual Mental Health & Addictions Support Worker practicum/in-class training rotations.
- Develop and/or recommend tools and mechanisms to measure, monitor, and evaluate progress and identify outcomes of the program within MH&SUS.
- Provide advice and support to those with operational accountability in the processes, systems, and tools to collect information.
- Monitor outcomes and produce regular reports on the status of various program activities for review and follow-up.
- Provide leadership to roles/teams that may be assigned to the program within MH&SUS to support staff and students in the efforts to integrate within the sites.
- Manage program communications and dissemination of information within MH&SUS and serve as a main point of contact for program queries and issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Allied Health Science, or other relevant clinical discipline.
- Seven years of recent related clinical experience in a mental health & substance use environment, including five years of experience in managing and leading clinical initiatives/programs, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Demonstrates the leadership practices of the Fraser Health Leadership Framework of Clear, Caring, and Courageous.
- Creates the conditions for people to succeed.
- Professional/Technical Capabilities:
- Understanding of clinical operations and the role of health care disciplines within a mental health & substance use setting.
- Working knowledge of change and project management principles, methods, and tools.
- Ability to motivate and persuade leaders and staff at all levels to embrace and act on change management initiatives.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills, including statistical analysis and evaluation methodology.
- Ability to operate related equipment, including applicable software applications.
