We are currently seeking a Laboratory Technician specializing in Food Chemistry.
Position Details:
Shift: Day shift from 8am to 4:30pm, full-time, 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a variety of physico-chemical analyses related to food chemistry.
- Perform essential quality control tests including verifications and calibrations.
- Provide ongoing laboratory support such as cleaning glassware, preparing samples, maintaining workspaces, conducting preventive maintenance on instruments and equipment, and managing waste disposal.
- Engage in analytical troubleshooting and validation of methods.
- Prepare documentation that complies with analytical procedures.
- Utilize specific laboratory instruments and equipment effectively.
- Ensure meticulous tracking of samples to adhere to deadlines.
- Follow established protocols and maintain compliance with the quality management system.
- Uphold health and safety regulations consistently.
Required Skills:
- Post-secondary education in science, chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or a related field.
- Previous laboratory experience is advantageous.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken French.
- Functional knowledge of English.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational skills, with a focus on deadlines and analytical thinking.
- Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a rigorous approach to work.
- Capacity to maintain a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
