OverviewThe Liberal Party of Canada is on the lookout for a Communications Manager to become an integral part of a passionate team dedicated to advancing the values and initiatives of the party.
In this role, reporting directly to the Director of Communications, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing comprehensive communication strategies across various channels. Your efforts will support a wide range of communication products, social media outreach, digital engagement, media relations, and event coordination.

- Oversee daily communication priorities across the organization.
- Assist the Director of Communications and the Director of Projects and Strategic Communications in maintaining consistent messaging and narrative across the party.
- Design, develop, and implement key communication strategies for diverse platforms and audiences.
- Lead the drafting and review process for various communication materials, including social media content, digital engagement, and website updates.
- Manage media inquiries, respond to journalists, and monitor media coverage related to the Liberal Party of Canada.
- Support media and communication needs during significant party events.
- Guide the team in assisting candidates with policy, messaging, media relations, and campaign tools.
- Perform other related duties as necessary.
- Fluency in both of Canada's official languages is essential.
- Strong understanding of current events and Canadian political landscape.
- 3-5 years of experience in a political environment.
- Exceptional project management capabilities.
- Proficient writing skills in both long and short formats, especially for press releases, advisories, speeches, and other media materials.
- Resourceful problem-solving abilities and sound judgment for quick decision-making.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with experience in volunteer engagement.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
