About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Hawk Drywall Inc. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation: Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to ensure a smooth and even finish.
  • Finishing: Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Preparation: Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation, including filling joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound.
  • Plastering: Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency and apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to create a seamless finish.
  • Scaffolding: Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms to ensure safe access to work areas.
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment with varying locations. You will be exposed to dusty and noisy conditions, and will be required to work at heights on scaffolding or swing stages.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, and manual dexterity are required for this role.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
