Human Resources Business Partner

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at Spring Living Retirement Communities. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in supporting the well-being of our employees and residents.
Key Responsibilities
As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will work closely with our residence management team to provide strategic HR guidance and support. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing coaching and support to executives and managers on HR-related matters
- Diagnosing and implementing solutions to organizational efficiency problems
- Managing and resolving complex employee relations issues
- Developing and implementing effective communication plans for policy changes or program roll-outs
- Providing day-to-day performance management advice to residence management
- Providing strategic HR direction and interpretation
Regarding Labor Relations
- Advising and assisting management on the interpretation and application of collective agreements and labor laws
- Working closely with management to ensure ongoing dialogue with union representatives
- Grievance management: conducting investigations, compiling files, and attending arbitration hearings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, industrial relations, or equivalent experience within the healthcare/retirement industry
- 6 to 10 years' experience in human resources with some experience within the healthcare/retirement industry
- Union experience and an understanding of bargaining
- Business savvy and comfortable dealing with management as well as employees in all functional areas of the business regarding all aspects of HR
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to solve problems quickly and creatively
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with an open and collaborative work style
- Must have demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- Fluency in spoken and written French and English (advanced English required)
