BASF Canada Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Knowledge Graph Engineer to join our Data & AI Powerhouse team. As a Knowledge Graph Engineer, you will play a key role in strengthening and expanding our semantics capabilities by implementing analytic solutions for Knowledge Graphs and contributing to other semantics-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced analytics and AI techniques to extract insights from Knowledge Graphs.
  • Support and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts, on Knowledge Graph exploitation.
  • Design, create and maintain Knowledge Graphs for different business objectives.
  • Evaluate and enhance of the team's data governance policies, standards, and best practices for effective Knowledge Graphs management.
  • Create and maintain ontologies that will serve as the foundation for future Knowledge Graphs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in graph analytics.
  • Proven experience in Knowledge Graphs, including their development, validation, and quality assurance.
  • Proven experience in ontology development, including designing and implementing ontologies, taxonomies, and semantic models.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, domain experts, and data scientists.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, with a proactive and self-driven attitude.
