About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Draftsperson to join our team at BBA Consultants. As a Junior Draftsperson, you will play a key role in contributing to the success of our projects related to mining processes, mechanics, industrial piping, and plant systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the preparation of various types of drawings, including fluid flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, fire protection diagrams, and HVAC system diagrams.
- Work closely with our engineers, technicians, and designers to develop project layouts.
- Apply BBA or client standards when drafting layouts, sketches, schematics, or diagrams from detailed drawings.
- Produce preliminary plans for buildings, equipment, or sites from reference drawings or catalogues.
- Participate in improving dynamic block libraries and other internal tools.
- Assist more experienced colleagues with complex tasks.
- Help prepare site surveys when required.
Requirements
- Diploma of vocational studies (DVS) in Building or Industrial Drafting or a diploma of college studies (DCS) in Mechanical, Building Mechanics, or Architectural Engineering.
- Three years of relevant work experience or less.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Good knowledge of Revit.
- Asset: knowledge of 3D software, such as SmartPlant 3D.
- Asset: bilingual (English and French).
