About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drafting Technician to join our team at FU ASSOCIATES LTD. as a key member of our engineering department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed engineering designs and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure accuracy.
  • Train and mentor new drafting personnel to ensure high-quality work.
  • Develop and prepare design sketches and specifications for construction projects.
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates.
  • Write technical reports and specifications for clients and stakeholders.
  • Examine drawings for conformity and errors, and consult with clients and engineers to resolve any issues.
  • Assign, coordinate, and review projects and programs to ensure timely completion.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, using your expertise and judgment to make decisions.
Requirements
  • College or CEGEP education in a relevant field.
  • 2 years of experience in drafting and design, preferably in the engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and technical drawing skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
