About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Drafting Technician to join our team at FU ASSOCIATES LTD. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for creating detailed designs and drawings, working closely with clients and engineers to ensure project requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare engineering designs and drawings using CAD software
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure accuracy
  • Train new drafting personnel to maintain high standards
  • Develop and prepare design sketches and specifications
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates
  • Write technical reports and specifications
  • Complete documentation packages and drawing sets
  • Examine drawings for conformity and errors
  • Consult with clients, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements
  • Assign, coordinate, and review projects and programs
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP education in a related field
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drafting or a related field
  • Proficiency in CAD software and technical drawing
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
