Job Summary

HAMILTON STEEL LOGISTICS is seeking a skilled Welding Fabricator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate and efficient production.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications, maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to prepare metal for welding.
  • Determine weldability of materials and operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy metal parts and products.
  • Start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines to ensure efficient and accurate production.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal production.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication.
  • Permanent employment with a 40-hour workweek.
  • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
