As a Culinary Service Specialist / Cook, you will report directly to the Chef and engage in a variety of customer-focused tasks within the culinary services domain. This role demands exceptional customer service abilities and meticulous attention to detail. There are opportunities for advancement for the right individual.
Your responsibilities will encompass:
Preparing food items and taking ownership of tasks associated with a designated service station Complying with all mandated health and safety regulations during food preparation, including: Utilizing appropriate techniques with tools, supplies, and equipment (such as knives, ovens, and cleaning materials) Wearing and properly using necessary personal protective equipment (like non-slip footwear and cut-resistant gloves) Adhering to FoodSafe and/or ServeSafe standards, including the documentation of all temperature-sensitive food items Ensuring the cleanliness of the workspace, which includes equipment, kitchen, and dining areas. Washing dishes and utensils either manually or via the dishwasher Acting as a representative of goodwill, ethics, and excellent client relations at all times on behalf of Dexterra Group Delivering outstanding customer service consistently, fostering an environment that aims to create remarkable culinary experiences Upholding speed of service standards Listening to customers (both internal and external) and responding professionally to inquiries and concerns, escalating issues to higher management when necessaryRequired Qualifications
WHO ARE WE SEEKING?
A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in the hospitality or food service sector Certification in Food Safety Completion of WHMIS training (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) Strong Customer Service skills Professional demeanor and punctuality Availability for shifts from Monday to Sunday, 7am - 10pm (Weekend availability is essential) Quick learner with the ability to work independently.
