Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Roofer to join our team at PARADISE CONSTRUCTION. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and be able to perform a variety of tasks related to the installation and maintenance of roofing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install or replace various types of roofing materials, including asphalt shingles, wood shingles, and baked clay tiles on sloped roofs.
  • Provide instruction and guidance to apprentices and supervise a small team of workers.
  • Apply waterproof coatings to both above and below ground masonry surfaces.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to install and repair metal roofing.
  • Install sheet metal flashings and estimate costs and materials for roofing projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Oversee a team of approximately 3-4 workers, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years in roofing or a related field.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with a standard work schedule of 35 hours per week. The primary language of work is English.
