Summary:
  • Evaluate, design, implement, and assess nursing interventions for patients in the neonatal unit.
  • Collaborate with team members by sharing essential information and best practices.
  • Engage in a multidisciplinary clinical environment.
Qualifications / Skills and Education:
  • Valid registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of two years' recent experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient knowledge and skills in CPR protocols.
  • Physical capability to perform the responsibilities of the role.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, organize work, and utilize necessary equipment.
  • Competence in teaching, identifying patient educational needs, and providing clinical guidance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient issues, plan, execute, and evaluate nursing care.
  • Deliver direct nursing care during critical situations.
  • Record observations and patient progress in both manual and electronic systems.
  • Lead educational sessions for patients and families, providing essential information.
  • Encourage teamwork, participate in nursing orientation, and share clinical expertise.
  • Support nursing research initiatives and engage in quality improvement efforts.
  • Advocate for the rights and needs of patients.
Additional Responsibilities: Other related tasks as assigned.
