Key Responsibilities
  • Assign sales workers to duties and oversee their performance
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to succeed in their roles
  • Authorize payments by cheque and manage cash transactions
  • Order merchandise and ensure that our store is well-stocked and visually appealing
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that our team is working efficiently
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that our store is running smoothly
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure that our team is working together effectively
  • Manage payroll administration and oversee payroll processes
  • Conduct performance reviews to ensure that our team is meeting their goals and objectives
  • Supervise office and volunteer staff to ensure that our store is running efficiently
Requirements
  • Criminal record check
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-7 months of experience in a sales or retail environment
