Position Overview: This role serves as the main service and maintenance representative for Trane Technologies clients within a designated market, catering to a wide range of commercial sectors such as Healthcare, Manufacturing Facilities, Educational Institutions, and Office Complexes.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage with project managers and clients to thoroughly comprehend requirements for all on-site installations and repairs, including anticipating challenges, procuring materials, and coordinating on-site activities. Act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing, and rectifying equipment and system issues at their locations. Utilize advanced software and tools, alongside various hand tools, adhering to blueprints or engineering specifications to troubleshoot and repair HVAC units. Demonstrate commitment to customer service by being adaptable to work overtime and weekends as necessary, including occasional overnight assignments. Uphold the highest safety standards while maintaining security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets through diligent record-keeping of usage, wear, and condition.Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for candidates possessing 5 or more years of HVAC experience. Formal training or technical school background is advantageous. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with handheld devices (e.g., smartphones, tablets). A valid driver's license is mandatory for at least 12 months, with no significant or frequent traffic violations. Possession of Red Seal Journeyman Certification and EPA Certification is required.Physical and Environmental Requirements:
Ability to operate a vehicle safely while using a seat belt. Must wear safety gear such as helmets, goggles, fall protection harnesses, and safety boots while performing job duties. Capability to twist the torso 90 degrees in both directions and squat to touch the floor with both hands. Must reach overhead comfortably and stand on concrete surfaces for extended periods, typically up to 4 hours. This position is physically demanding, requiring regular use of hands, walking, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders. Employees must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. and occasionally lift more than 40 lbs. Must safely use ladders with a total weight limit of 350 lbs. while carrying equipment weighing 50 lbs. or less. Ability to maneuver in confined spaces as small as 30" vertical x 45" horizontal. Comfortable accessing rooftops using extension and/or fixed ladders at heights ranging from 15' to 20', and occasionally up to 50 feet or more. This role may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, heights, electrical hazards, noisy equipment, and other environmental factors based on location.Trane Technologies offers competitive compensation along with comprehensive benefits and programs.
