About This Opportunity

The Mt. Uniacke Medical Clinic is in search of a full-time Family Physician to enhance its practice. This clinic is professionally managed and boasts a supportive administrative team. The practice operates as a group, collaborating with another Family Physician and is fully integrated with the MedAccess EMR system.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Family Physician include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting patient examinations and documenting their medical histories, while ordering necessary diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures;
  • Providing guidance to patients regarding health care, promoting wellness, and preventing diseases;
  • Facilitating consultations and referrals to other healthcare professionals;
  • Advocating for patients' needs;
  • Prescribing and administering medications, treatments, inoculations, and vaccinations;
  • Reporting births, deaths, and other diseases in accordance with public health regulations.
Work Schedule

This position is full-time, with a commitment of 1.0 FTE.

Qualifications
  • Must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS);
  • Must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC);
  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) is required.
