Accounting Bookkeeper Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Bookkeeper to join our team at SaveMax Staffing Solutions. As an Accounting Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Payroll Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, including calculating fixed assets and depreciation.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports as required.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Skills: MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, MS Word.
