Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Grade Person to join our team at Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited. As a Grade Person, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and precision of our construction projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret construction drawings to identify site-specific requirements.
  • Use survey instruments to establish correct line and grade, ensuring accurate placement of utilities and infrastructure.
  • Identify and report any conflicts or discrepancies to the site supervisor, working collaboratively to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with engineers and surveyors to solve complex problems and achieve project goals.
  • Direct operators of equipment to adjust grade by moving earth, gravel, and other materials, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
  • Measure distances from reference points or offsets to accurately install utilities, maintaining high standards of quality and precision.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Grade Person is considered an asset, but not required.
  • Valid driver's license and own mode of transportation are necessary for site visits.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including cold, rain, heat, and other environmental factors.
  • Ability to walk long distances, navigating challenging terrain and site conditions.
