About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Light Duty Cleaner to join our team at Foodland. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our retail service establishment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, and vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
  • Disinfection and Sanitation: Disinfect operating rooms and other areas, and handle and report lost and found items.
  • Customer Service: Provide basic information on facilities, address customers' complaints or concerns, and pick up debris and empty trash containers.
  • Additional Tasks: Wash windows, walls, and ceilings, and perform other cleaning and maintenance tasks as required.
Work Environment and Physical Capabilities
  • Work Setting: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Work Term: Permanent position with 32.5 hours per week.
  • Work Language: English.
