About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at GHOLIA CONSTRUCTION INC. as a key member of our construction crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Materials: Safely load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Clean and Maintain Equipment: Clean and lubricate cranes, and perform routine maintenance work on equipment.
  • Erect and Dismantle Forms and Scaffolding: Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, Pour, and Spread Materials: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to meet project specifications.
  • Assist in Drilling and Blasting: Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites as needed.
  • Assist in Framing and Building: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs to meet project requirements.
  • Level Earth and Pave Asphalt: Level earth to fine grade specifications and pave and rake asphalt to meet project standards.
  • Remove Debris and Clean Up: Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites and clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Tend and Feed Equipment: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction to ensure efficient operation.
  • Direct Traffic: Direct traffic at or near construction sites to ensure safe and efficient movement of people and equipment.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Work outdoors, at heights, underground, in confined spaces, in noisy, dusty, and hot conditions.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
