We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Supervisor to join our team at Wander Homes & Consulting Ltd. As a General Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction and renovation projects.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Coordinate and schedule activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Team Supervision: Supervise and mentor a team of carpenters and other construction personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to complete projects successfully.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits to ensure that work is being done to the highest standards and that all safety protocols are being followed.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed to their satisfaction.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any issues that may arise during projects, such as delays, budget overruns, or quality control issues.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in the construction industry.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and a strong attention to detail.
- Certifications: Bondable and valid driver's license.
- Work Environment: Outdoors, noisy.
- Work Setting: Construction, renovation, residential.
- Physical Demands: Work under pressure, own tools/equipment (steel-toed safety boots).
- Competitive Salary: As per collective agreement.
