Job Summary:
Company 3 / Method Studios is seeking a skilled Compositor to join our VFX department. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Compositing Supervisor and VFX Producer to deliver high-quality visual effects for our clients.
Main Responsibilities:
- Challenging shots with attention to detail and a strong sense of color, colorspace, and lighting.
- Seamlessly integrating various layers or elements of a live-action shot.
- Tackling shots from start to finish, including roto, tracking, paint, animation, and creation of elements.
- Matte extractions from blue/green screen photography.
- Compositing Multi-Pass CG Elements to create photo-real shots.
- Clean and efficient script organization.
- Communicating progress of work to Coordinator and Producer in a timely fashion.
Requirements:
- Experience working as a compositor in episodic, commercial, or feature VFX.
- Proficient in Nuke, Photoshop, and knowledge of 3D particle systems, Fusion, and AfterEffects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, take criticism, and work under high pressure with short deadlines.
- Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet deadlines.
- Experience working with Shotgun software preferred.
